Today, the news that everyone's iPhone is secretly recording their geolocation information scared a lot of people. What two data scientists found was that the iPhone holds the latitude-longitude coordinates of every move you make and it's easy to retrieve that information. "Apple has made it possible for almost anybody... with access to your phone or computer to get detailed information about where you've been," warned data scientist Pete Warden. His principal example was a "jealous spouse" spying on his or her partner's whereabouts. But the consumer warning didn't scare everybody. Our commenter Rahmistan_resident urges iPhone users to prioritize their personal issues in a slightly different way:

If you have a jealous spouse, then you have larger problems than a cell phone that contains a file that tracks its own whereabouts.
