He may not have been able to attend the Sochi Olympics, but Vice President Joe Biden is set to return to the world sporting event stage this summer by hanging out at the World Cup, the White House announced today.

Biden is very excited. "You know, we have our Super Bowl, we have our World Series, we have the NBA Finals, we have March Madness, but my Lord, it is nothing quite like the World Cup," he said today as he and Secretary of State John Kerry unveiled the World Cup trophy.

Kerry, meanwhile, stuck with boring comments like "I can't think of anything that unifies people as much, brings out the best and shows our commonality, the common spirit of sportsmanship, the common spirit of competition, the common spirit of great athleticism."
