Rick Santorum hasn't done a great job raising money for his presidential campaign, but he did pick up nearly a quarter of a million dollars working as a talking head at Fox News. "News Corp., the station's parent company, paid Santorum $239,000 to contribute to Fox News in 2010 and the first half of 2011, according his personal financial disclosure report out Thursday," reports Politico. "Counting investments and income from rental properties near Pennsylvania State University, his alma mater, Santorum reported over $1 million in income in 2010 and early 2011." Fox News dropped Santorum from their pundit lineup in March, but it's unclear if the increased visibility did him any favors to begin with. As The Atlantic Wire's Elspeth Reeve points out, "A little TV commentary didn't change the fact that Santorum hasn't won an election in a decade."
