It's not quite the 1027-to-1 exchange rate that Hamas received, but 25 Egyptian prisoners will be going home in exchange for the release of suspected Israeli spy Ilan Grapel. "Ilan Grapel, who holds both Israeli and American citizenships, has been held in Egypt since June 12," reports Israeli paper Haaretz who report that Grapel was first held for espionage, but was later charged with incitement, insurrection, and damaging a public building while reporting that none of the 25 Egyptians were convicted of security-related offences. Haaretz adds that three minors are part of the deal, which Reuters reports is "subject to Israeli security cabinet approval widely expected to be issued at a session scheduled Tuesday."
