Though The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is just gearing up for release, it's time to turn our attention to the next dystopian future that might win the minds and the money of legions of fans.

Summit Entertainment released—with live stream fanfare—the full trailer for Divergent today, a film based on the first installment of a series of books by young author Veronica Roth. And though themes may feel familiar, this well-made trailer featuring the film's great cast is doing its job of piquing our attention. (And the attention of fans who greeted the livestream with Internet squeals. See right.)

The film stars Shailene Woodley as Beatrice/Tris Prior, a young girl living in a futuristic Chicago where the population is divided into factions based on personality. The story begins with Tris participating in the tradition wherein 16-year-olds are given a test to determine to which faction they are best suited. Tris is obviously special -- she's our heroine, after all -- testing for multiple factions and thus revealed as "Divergent." The action then shifts to Tris's training in the Dauntless faction and her budding relationship with Four, a mysterious hunk o' meat played by Theo James, who will always and forever be the dead Turk on Downton Abbey. We also see Ashley Judd as Tris's mother—but not President Fitzgerald Grant (aka Scandal's Tony Goldwyn) as her father—and Kate Winslet as the villainous leader of the Erudite faction.

One of the book's hallmarks is its use of real-world Chicago settings, and the trailer does a nice job of meshing the skyline with the futuristic milieu of the movie. But this is just the first taste of what we'll surely get a lot more of before March of next year.
