As arbitrary college rankings go, the Princeton Review's annual Top Party Schools list is more scientific than say, GQ's ranking of America's ten douchiest colleges, since the findings are based on surveys filled out by more than 100,000 college students. In the end, though, it's probably equally arbitrary, since a party school is where you find it. Nonetheless, it's still fun to argue about, and this year's list is notable for featuring the same top two schools, albeit in a different order. Here's the full list, from the Princeton Review's Web site:

  1. Ohio University
  2. University of Georgia
  3. Ole Miss
  4. University of Iowa
  5. University of California Santa Barbara
  6. West Virginia University
  7. Penn State University
  8. Florida State University
  9. University of Florida
  10. University of Texas

Based on the message board outrage that greeted last year's party school list--and really, tends to greet any attempt to put American colleges in some sort of order based on abstract notions of merit--it's best to treat these rankings as more of a suggestion.
