Vogue creative director Grace Coddington has sold her memoir to Random House for a rumored $1.2 million, reports The New York Observer. Coddington came to popular attention when her tense relationship with Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour played out on-screen in the fly-on-the-wall documentary The September Issue, chronicling the publication of the 2007 September issue of Vogue. The Observer reports that the book will be co-written by Vogue writer Michael Roberts. The New York Post had reported that Coddington put the book on hold after her then-writing partner Jay Fielden got a gig as editor-in-chief of Town & Country. Last year, Women's Wear Daily reported that Coddington's book would detail "her modeling days in Sixties London, the car accident that changed her career path and her ascendancy through fashion's ranks as a stylist and editor at British Vogue and, later it's American counterpart."
