As a senior at the University of Georgia in 1960, he led the Bulldogs to an Orange Bowl win over Missouri, capping off an undefeated season. Long-since retired, Tarkenton is in the process leading comeback drive against a foe far more formidable than the 1974 Pittsburgh Steelers: America's spiraling deficit.
