Lady Gaga, who recently broke the record for most Twitter followers,
occasionally uses the medium to articulate her political persuasions. On Tuesday, two days after her endlessly-debated "Meat
Dress" appearance at the VMAs, she urged her followers to pressure the Senate to repeal "Don't Ask Don't Tell," the policy that bans
openly gay citizens from serving in the military. Her message? Please
flood Harry Reid with calls:

Reid, or at least his resident staff tweeter, appears to have gotten the message and given a thumbs-up to the gaudy pop-star's efforts:
Now, if only Camille Paglia and Gaga could bury the hatchet on Twitter.
