Pop music boy-king Justin Bieber was a little wobbly when he was arrested in January for driving under the influence and drag racing. According to documents released Tuesday, it appears Bieber may have initially fibbed to police officers, telling them his failed sobriety test was due to a hairline fracture in his foot. "The police summary of Bieber’s performance on various sobriety tests following his Jan. 23 arrest shows that the pop singer told officers he had injured his foot skateboarding three months earlier," reports the AP.

"He appeared to have great difficulty," the report reads, explaining that Bieber winced  and exhibited leg tremors.

But the alleged injury wasn't mentioned again after the initial test. Passing a sobriety test with a fractured foot would no doubt be difficult and painful. But, so would regular walking. And the report doesn't mention him wincing or officers noticing him being in pain after the test.

Police toxicology tests found traces of marijuana and Xanax in his system, and reportedly faint traces of alcohol— which could make a sobriety test more difficult.

Bieber will go to court on May 5.
